Level 38. I reloaded, didn't ask about the daughter, and I didn't get the compassion requirement. These two achievements/trophies are tied into the Grandmaster Witcher gear, the new ultimate in armor sets in the game.

There Can Be Only One is a secondary quest in the Blood and Wine expansion. #3.
Big Game Hunter: This quest is found on the notice board in front of the Cockatrice Inn. side-quest which can be picked up from one of the notice boards in Beauclair. During this quest, you need to help the count in his adventures, save the animals (don’t harm them), ask about his family and, in the end, visit him at his exhibit. It's not harming the panthers during Big Game Hunter quest that gets you the compassion award for the sword simply use Axii to calm them or they attack.
