Mal Baboyian

Malkon S. Baboyian was named President of the Production Printing Systems division of Océ North America in December 2003. PPS is the largest division of Océ North America and provides digital document management solutions covering a wide range of environments including the office, central reproduction departments, data centers, and commercial printing operations. Mal’s responsibilities include sales and marketing for PPS as well as running the service and technical support functions for all of Océ North America.

Mal joined Océ in March of 1976 as a District Sales Manager in Washington, D.C. for Océ Industries, the predecessor company to Océ North America. Mr. Baboyian filled a number of sales management roles within Océ before being named Group Vice President of Design Engineering, now known as Wide Format Printing Systems division, in November of 1990. In December of 1998, Mr. Baboyian’s responsibilities expanded to include the Imaging Supplies business unit. He was named Chief Operating Officer of Océ-USA, Inc. in April of 2000 and Chief Executive Officer in December of 2002. As Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Baboyian is responsible for all aspects of the Océ-USA business activities including the marketing, sales and service of the full line of Wide Format and Display Graphics equipment, related software and services and Imaging Supplies products, as well as the finance, business administration and human resources functions.

Mr. Baboyian has spent almost his entire career with Océ, other than a brief experience in the insurance industry and service in the Air Force. He has an Economics degree from the University of Maryland, loves college basketball and fine red wines.
